Federation

It is a form of organization in which the state is formed by autonomous units. In this case, political power is divided between central government and provincial or state governments. Currently, the most illustrative example of federation is the United States. This country was formed in 1776 as a result of a political alliance of independent states, which together form a superior state unit, that is, a federation. Each of these states has its own constitution. Some of them, for example, have legalized the death penalty as punishment for certain crimes. Other states do not allow this punishment in their legislation.
