Thinker, scholar, anyone who engages in, above all, activities that depend more on mental effort — as opposed to manual workers, whose activities depend mainly on physical effort. Intellectuals work with ideas, currents of thought, emotions and feelings. They can be writers, poets, scientists, artists, philosophers, religious, teachers, etc.
